Advertising Sales Executive

As an Ad Sales Executive at Surfline, you will partner with brands to create stories and campaigns that effectively execute on their marketing goals. This role calls for an aggressive hunter who is capable of pioneering and growing meaningful, recurrent revenue streams with both endemic and non-endemic partners. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and creative problem solver with deep knowledge of the digital media landscape and established relationships with decision makers inside and outside the surf industry.

This position will report to Surfline’s Sales Manager and work out of our beachfront headquarters in Huntington Beach, CA.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and sell digital advertising programs to advertisers
  • Drive revenue growth in endemic and non-endemic verticals in the US and around the world
  • Aggressively prospect and develop new business, clients and partnerships to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Build and maintain brand and agency relationships through meetings, events and client entertainment
  • Lead strategy in response to RFPs and present solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Work with various internal teams to develop new solutions to non-endemic brands and advertisers
  • Travel to brand, agency and client sites

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong experience pitching, closing and delivering customer advertising and sponsorship solutions
  • Strong command of the digital, digital video, and digital advertising spaces with an emphasis on mobile and native app experience
  • Ability to convert a brand's goals and vision into engaging stories through partnered content production
  • Deep relationships with key decision makers at endemic and non-endemic brands
  • Demonstrated prospecting, relationship building, pitching and negotiation skills
  • Command of PowerPoint, Keynote or other presentation tools and skills for the purposes of communicating and distilling ideas and solutions
  • Ability to deliver timely and accurate sales forecasts
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
