Senior Subscriptions Lead

Surfline/Wavetrak is the leading provider of live and predicted marine weather information, editorial content, and consulting services to consumers, businesses, and government agencies worldwide. As Senior Subscriptions Lead, you will be expected to effectively monitor, manage and optimize subscriber acquisition and retention in order to ensure we achieve our subscriber revenue objectives. You will be directly responsible for the customer life cycle and will monitor the performance of our existing subscriber channels (including but not limited to: paid media, search, partnership and direct) in order to maximize subscriber revenue.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as the accountable point of contact regarding execution of all pricing, paywall and subscription related initiatives
  • Participate in relevant meetings and Agile product development rituals (daily stand-ups, bi-weekly plannings) required to see subscription related initiatives through development
  • Analyze our existing SaaS tools for purposes of conversion and retention as they relate to subscription processes (Amplitude, Customer.io, Google Analytics)
  • Understand and communicate key drivers along the subscriber life cycle to the product and executive teams (product will administrate design and execution)
  • Analyze, report on, and work to minimize subscriber churn
  • Monitor, report and resolve daily subscription reporting thrash
  • Oversee and manage our chargeback processing strategy
  • Evaluate and optimize our existing premium paywalls, calls-to-action and funnels to maximize conversion
  • Analyze our subscription package pricing and opportunities for optimization
  • Oversee our landing page strategy in order to ensure maximum conversion
  • Own and optimize subscriber acquisition by channel including paid media, search, partnership and direct
  • Regularly audit attribution of key subscriber marketing channels
  • Effectively merchandise the user experience for each user entitlement in order to drive conversion

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience with conversion optimization in the digital space
  • Bias to action
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field (Economics, Finance, Mathematics, etc.)
  • Basic database experience for the purpose of accessing and analyzing advanced data (SQL and/or R)
  • Familiarity with a digital subscription and/or billing system
  • An ability to effectively communicate analytical conclusions into action plans
