Creative Ad Solutions Manager

At Surfline Wavetrak, we do great work from anywhere. This ranges from our headquarters in Huntington Beach, CA, to across the globe. This position is eligible to be based from a variety of locations, including full-time remote.


Surfline Wavetrak is seeking a Creative Ad Solutions Manager to drive revenue growth for advertising sales through the development of new sponsorable opportunities – primarily around custom partner content. From ideation to production and execution, this is an exciting opportunity to create and manage stories told on behalf of large brands that want to align with Surfline Wavetrak’s editorial strategy, tone and voice. In addition, this role will be tasked with identifying other sponsorable opportunities for sales team to take to market within and outside of content. 

What You'll Do:

  • Lead brainstorming, ideation and concepting of custom content executions for advertising partners
  • Create proposals and pitch decks, and support sales team with addressing client feedback-review
  • Establish timelines for partner content execution, and manage creative direction and deliverables
  • Work collaboratively across advertising, content, product, social and design to deliver successful partner content integrations from start to finish
  • Monitor and share unique partner content executions across digital publishing landscape
  • Identify other sponsor-able opportunities and activations with other other Surfline-led events, experiences, content or other marketing-cultural initiatives like International Surfing Day or World Oceans Day
  • Help outline deliverables and pricing, and manage production budgets

What We're Looking For:

  • 4-5+ years relevant experience as marketer, content producer and-or brand strategist
  • A master of Keynote; proficiency in Wordpress, JW Player, Photoshop
  • Creative and strategic thinker who is passionate about surf content
  • Solid understanding of digital publishing landscape, particularly video
  • Proficiency with all social media platforms and their formats and capabilities
  • Exceptional copywriting, visual and verbal communication skills
  • Responsive, organized and detail-oriented to manage projects and adhere to deadlines
  • Proactive, enthusiastic problem solver and team player

You May Also Have:

  • Experience with surf travel outside of the U.S.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising and ad tech
  • Experience with event-experiential marketing
